The Saucy Chef is Invercargill's latest entrant into the dining out market, situated on St Andrew Street and providing a delicious a la carte menu with something for everyone.
The interior design offers a warm, inviting, bordering on elegant setting with large booths and two separate dining areas within the restaurant – one of which is ideally suited for large groups/function bookings.
An open gas fire adds to the ambience of the restaurant and there are a range of quirky features that attract the eye and add to the quirky makeup of this restaurant.
A small intimate well appointed bar is adjacent to the restaurant and part of the bar offers an inside/outside drinking experience which will be particularly attractive over the summer months.
This is also Invercargill’s first Heineken bar with the world renowned beer available on tap.
The menu definitely provides an option for all tastes from the specialty fish dish, which is changed regularly, to the very special Hereford beef to the vegetarian delight. All tastes are catered for within the comprehensive a la carte menu and the dessert menu is to die for with a range of decadent dishes to tempt even the staunchest of diet conscious diners.
